Start with a visit to the serene Haa Valley via Chelela Pass before beginning the trek from Shana. Hike through lush forests, alpine meadows, and rugged terrains, reaching Jangothang, the base camp of Mt. Jomolhari. Explore the tranquil Tsho Phu Lakes and cross high mountain passes, including Bonte La and Thombu La, offering spectacular views of the Himalayas. Experience yak herding settlements and pristine valleys before returning to Paro. Conclude with cultural sightseeing in Thimphu, visiting iconic landmarks and local markets. Day 1: Arrival in Paro, Bhutan
  • Warm welcome at Paro International Airport.
  • Transfer to your hotel with time to relax and acclimatize.

Day 2: Paro to Haa via Chelela
  • Scenic drive to Haa Valley via Chelela Pass, Bhutan’s highest motorable road.
  • Explore Haa Valley and enjoy panoramic Himalayan views.

Day 3: Paro to Thangthangkha via Shana
  • Begin the trek from Shana, following the Paro River through dense forests and meadows.
  • Camp at Thangthangkha under starry skies.

Day 4: Thangthangkha to Jangothang (Base Camp of Mt. Jomolhari)
  • Trek to Jangothang, the base camp of Mt. Jomolhari.
  • Marvel at stunning views of the snow-capped peaks.

Day 5: Jangothang Halt
  • Rest day for acclimatization and exploration.
  • Optional short hikes to nearby ridges for breathtaking mountain views.

Day 6: Jangothang to Tsho Phu Lakes
  • Trek over ridges and descend to the tranquil Tsho Phu Lakes.
  • Camp near the lakes with scenic surroundings.

Day 7: Tsho Phu Lakes to Dhumzo Chhu via Bonte La Pass
  • Cross the challenging Bonte La Pass (4,890 m) and descend to the Dhumzo Chhu Valley.
  • Enjoy views of rugged landscapes and alpine meadows.

Day 8: Dhumzo Chhu to Thombu Shong
  • Trek through lush vegetation and traditional yak herding settlements.
  • Arrive at Thombu Shong for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Thombu Shong to Shana to Paro Town via Thombu La Pass
  • Cross the Thombu La Pass (4,380 m) with panoramic views of the valleys below.
  • Descend to Shana and return to Paro town.

Day 10: Paro to Thimphu
  • Drive to Thimphu and explore the city’s cultural highlights, including Buddha Dordenma and Tashichho Dzong.

Day 11: Thimphu

  • Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, and local markets.
  • Free time for relaxation or souvenir shopping.

Day 12: Depart Paro
  • Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure.
  • Farewell with memories of Bhutan’s majestic landscapes and unique cultural experiences.
